Check Out & Return
Textbook Checkout and Distribution
Textbooks for first semester and year-long courses are issued to students at the Book Depository window during registration in August, or at the time of enrollment for new students enrolling after registration.
Textbooks for second semester are issued to students at the Book Depository window during the last week in January, or at the time of enrollment for new students enrolling after registration.
Students MUST have their current ID card to pick up books that are needed for that semester.
All books must be returned at the end of the school year. After all year end returns are checked in, the Book Depository will prepare an "obligation list" of students with outstanding fines or books still on loan.
If your name appears on the list, you must clear any and all obligation(s) before records are transferred to new school, before you can pick up your cap and gown at graduation and diploma at graduation.
Textbook Collection and Turn-in
Textbooks may be returned to the Book Depository at any time.
NOTE: Students must return the textbook with the Huron High School number & barcode that was issued to them.
It is in your best interest to:
1- Do NOT return books to your teachers OR leave in classrooms.
2- Not damage barcode or ID number on book
3- Not leave books unattended when book depository is CLOSED
**Damaging the barcode on the book will result in the book being marked lost.**
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL BOOKS YOU HAVE BORROWED.

Frequently, students who study together may pick-up another student’s book. Any book returned will be credited by the book number to the record of the student it was issued to.
Students need to be aware that if they return a book with a number that was not issued to them, their record will still show an obligation in their name for that textbook title.
All obligations must be cleared before you transfer to another school or before you receive your diploma at graduation.
Check the schedule of events calendar for these dates.
